Listen to My Life




You can summarize your life very easily, without words, but with songs. It is very hard to suppress the thoughts and feelings that are evoked from listening to a song that has permanently etched the memories surrounding it in your soul. No matter if the moments in time attached to that song are happy, sad, angry, giddy or dancy - sometimes your tummy does a flip flop and your heart skips a beat......a smile sneaks in the corner of your mouth, you foot starts tapping or you nonchalantly get that sway in your shoulders. Because of these amazing times in my life that have made me who I am, I am going to post at least one new song every day for the next year. Every. Single. Song. will hold a feeling, moment, secret, tear or smile for its own reason. So, to learn about me, you can look for my new song each day......the memory attached may include you.

Madonna - Into The Groove

Although I will not call out names in many posts....I have to right now. Every time I hear this song...I think of Noreen and I miss spending the most wonderful weekends with her. Without children of her own, she "borrowed" my sister and I on many many occasions. She spoiled us rotten, taught me how to cook my favorite dishes, had a heavy hand in making me a more prissy girl and she LOVED Madonna......she would turn that volume up so high and dance around singing while we would bake cookies. I love and miss her greatly!
